E Makua Ana means becoming an adult in Hawaiian. The Circle’s purpose is to celebrate and plan the youth’s emancipation from foster care.

Receipt of Referral
Anyone who knows an eligible youth can refer. Once a referral is received by EPIC, a call is made to the referring party to acknowledge receipt of the referral. The youth is then assigned to a facilitator.

WELCOME & OPENING
If the youth does not have an opening, participants give silent thanks to a person who has helped them become who they are today.

INTRODUCTIONS
Everyone in Circle states their name and relationship to the youth.
