'Ohana Conferencing is a new way for DHS/CWS/CPS to work with families. We bring together extended family members of children who are involved with CWS. Families know their own strengths, issues, and resources best - better than CWS or other service providers can. In an `Ohana Conference, families work with CWS and other community support to collaboratively make decisions for the safety of the children.

E MAKUA ANA YOUTH CIRCLE
For youth aged 16 and older who are in foster care. The program provides a group process for youth to celebrate their emancipation from foster care and to assist them in planning for their independence. Ideally, a youth will have three youth Circles by the time they age out of foster care—two before they reach age 18 and one after they turn 18.
