EPIC ‘Ohana, Inc. is seeking a Financial Capability Coordinator to coordinate the Opportunity Passport™ program statewide and to manage its implementation on O‘ahu. The Opportunity Passport™ program includes recruitment of participants, oversight of delivery of financial literacy training, coordination with partner agencies and banks, review of asset purchase requests, conduct semi-annual participant surveys, and maintaining the database. The Financial Capability Coordinator will also develop and manage a volunteer financial coaching program. Maintain policies and procedures to recruit mentors and mentees for financial coaching program. Provide training and back-up support to the financial coaches.
Minimum Requirements: Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institution of higher learning with significant leadership experience in community, human service, business or related fields. Advanced degree preferred. Minimum of five (5) years related experience and/or training including supervisory, project management and/or business experience. Successful criminal and child abuse and neglect background clearance as required by state regulations for those who work with children and families in the Child Welfare System. Valid driver’s license, no-fault automobile insurance, acceptable motor vehicle abstract, and access to an insured, reliable vehicle is needed. Team player with a positive attitude and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement, be self-directed and work with minimal supervision. Real understanding of youth development, able to form genuine partnerships with young people, and able to work well with other adults. Experience working with different kinds of people and partners both public and private, including non-profit, faith and business sectors. Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative workplace with colleagues of diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. Familiarity with child welfare system and strengths and challenges of transitioning youth. Familiarity with financial capability programs. Committed to quality and performance improvement. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in person and on the phone are required for this position. Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook are required.
